Are you a scholar with lived experience of displacement, working or studying in refugee and forced migration studies? Or are you an academic who would like to support such scholars through mentoring?

The Kaldor Centre’s Displaced Scholars Peer Mentoring Program is now open for 2025. This popular global initiative connects scholars who have experienced displacement with academic mentors working in the field. Formal refugee status is not required.

Mentors are typically enrolled in or have completed a PhD in a relevant area and are engaged in refugee or forced migration research. Mentors and mentees can be located anywhere in the world.

The program runs from May to November, with flexible participation and a simple application process.

Applications for both mentees and mentors are open until 30 April 2025.
