The »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ Centre for Childhood Cancer Research was established in 2015 as a collaboration between »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ and the —the only medical research institute in Australia solely dedicated to childhood cancer. Since then, our Centre has enhanced research capacity and research translation, ultimately improving outcomes for children with cancers such as leukaemia, neuroblastoma and brain tumours.

Our next stage is to deepen the relationship between clinicians and researchers through the Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre—a hub where we will grow the next generation of childhood cancer researchers. The Centre will maximise childhood cancer research capacity and capability not only between »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ and the Children’s Cancer Institute, but also the at Sydney Children’s Hospital.

Based within the Randwick precinct, the Comprehensive Cancer Centre will be a fully integrated model of care. Clinicians and scientists will work side-by-side in a single purpose-built building, to provide internationally best practice treatments for children with cancer.

The Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre is due for completion in 2024/25.
